The Super Bowl is right around the corner, and chances are you might be watching it–or eating while it plays in the background anyhow! (That would be me… who’s playing again?? Sadly, I’m serious.)
This super-easy dip recipe is perfect for a Super Bowl party or any type of gathering. Our family makes it all the time–and I mean all the time. It only has three ingredients, so you can pick up everything at the store in a hurry without having to reference your recipe book.
Let me know what you think. If you whip it up this weekend, I have a feeling you will bring an empty bowl home–I’ll be surprised if there’s any left!!
Enjoy the game–and the commercials! :)
You only need these three ingredients:
Cream Cheese (I use 1/3 fat; I don’t recommend fat free)
Jimmy Dean Sausage (I use reduced fat if I can find it)
Ro-Tel (I use Mild because I’m a big sissy)
Brown the meat. There’s no need to drain any grease because there really isn’t any if you use reduced fat!
Add 11 oz. cream cheese. (one block + 3 oz. from another block)
Add Ro-Tel and heat until combined.
Ta-da! It doesn’t get much easier. When people ask you for the recipe (and I bet they will!), they won’t believe that’s all that goes into it!
I hope you like it. I’m not a huge fan of sausage or cream cheese, but I have to drag myself away from this stuff! And the guys in your life will love it–for sure.
The cream cheese will start to thicken as it sits, so you could possibly serve it in a fondue pot to keep it warm or just stir it up now and then–or even reheat it in the microwave briefly… that’s if it lasts that long, of course! :)

EASY SUPER BOWL DIP
Jimmy Dean Sausage (12 oz. tube)
11 oz. Cream Cheese (I use 1/3 fat. One block + 3 oz. from another block)
10 oz. can Ro-Tel (I use Mild but I don’t like-a-the-spice)
Brown meat. Add cream cheese and Ro-Tel. Heat until combined.
I serve with Baked Scoops, but for me, the chip is just the vehicle for the dip! :) I just want the crunch, so I go with the healthier chips…but my mom says she might as well eat cardboard. To each their own, I say!
Don’t forget us Grandma’s who need some new ideas…….so eyerolling with our own kids is kept at a minimum!
You are so funny, Roni! I will do my best to help you grandmas out over time! :)
i love this dip. I call it “Damn Good Dip”!
